Saturday’s game against last year’s champions The Londoner was to be our toughest test this year. After defeating them earlier in the season we knew they would want to take revenge and show they deserve to be league champions again. We had to be strong defensively which is why the coaching team opted for a 4-5-1 formation. The game started the way we anticipated with The Londoner piling on the pressure but the GAS midfield worked hard, as did the defenders and were first to every ball. On the odd occasions The Londoner found space behind the German defence Markus was there to deny anything thrown his way. The game changed in the second half when a Londoner player was sent off for a second bookable offence but the GAS were unable to capitalise on the advantage. The game ended 0-0 with Markus winning the man of the match award. Well done to all the squad.
