The evening following the disappointing defeat to PTT, all was forgotten as the GAS society got together for the annual Christmas party in some field… in the middle of some village… in the middle of nowhere! Families, friends and players arrived en masse to see out the year and enjoy the excellent food and beverages on offer. Some members of the squad from the game the previous day were simply topping up from the previous night whilst many others were letting their hair down for the beginning of the festive period.
Entertainment was provided as ever by Senior Hartwig on the mic with special guest appearances from Ivan’s singing sensation daughter (no idea where she gets that voice from) and the annual appearance from Father Christmas and his helper, the Italian twosome (who ultimately helped themselves to most of the available alcohol)
Many a beer (and liquor) were consumed on this fine evening and everybody involved had a great time as presents were handed out (questionable football shirts included) and jokes and stories were shared.On behalf of GAS we would like to thank everybody involved for putting on a fantastic evening and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!
