Saturday 11th March the stage is set for the third game of the season against Siam Celtic this time in the BCL Cup Semi Final.

This game wasn’t for the sexy football fans – it was a game that required patience, work rate, grit and desire to get to the final which GAS clearly had the upper hand on throughout. In less than 10 minutes GAS were 2-0 to the good through Freeboy and Dominik. Dominik scoring yet another freekick  and Freeboy creating his goal from almost nothing, skipping around the keeper and slotting past the man on the line. Superb instinct. A very smart goal.

2-0 HT GAS

Second half saw more of the same from GAS. Chances from Celtic were almost non existing bar the long throw in which the GAS defence and Khun Do saw off expertly each time. Soon into the second half GAS were 3-0 to the good, Freeboy once again using his pace to get away from the sluggish defence and unselfishly squaring to Thomas for an easy tap in. 3-0. Moments later, could’ve seen it be 4-0 after Freeboy’s shot rebounded off the word work falling nicely to Thomas only for him to decide to kick the ball into the tennis courts behind the football pitch. Some nifty time wasting tactics from the big winger. However, Celtic managed to pull a goal back. A sloppy goal to concede giving the way the game had gone up until that point. Freeboy then made it 4-1 with another smart finish after he found himself 1 on 1 with the GK, cooling slotting into the bottom corner. Celtic pulled two goals back setting up a nail biting final 5 minutes which also saw some disgusting  violent conduct from Celtics midfielder leading to a red card though GAS remained calm and composed and saw the game out winning the game in relative comfort. A somewhat negative end which marred an otherwise entertaining match.

Final score 4-3 GAS
