Kumar’s Village All Stars – German Old(er) Stars 1:2

Amazingly, it seems that out of many German All Stars there is only one who can actually write … So better late than never a short report of the traditional trip up-country to the village of our friend and club member Kumar. 15 lads, mostly old guys (only Damien and Benni of the casuals), followed his invitation to visit his village and play a friendly game with the local squad. A few showed up with their family, some with their girlfriend and others with a huge hangover … but anyway, it was a good day to play football. The weather was sunny and nice and the temperatures slightly under 40°.

Training starts August 5th

As the new season 2010/11 will kick-off somtimes in September it’s time to get prepared. We will start next week (August 5th). Then training is every week on Thursday night from 8pm – 10pm at Arsenal Football School.

July’s Vets league tournament at Harrow

The last tournament for Michel and Matze, and therefore the expectations have been high. The team looked pretty solid on paper with Michel, Otto, Ivan, Kelly, Markus, Richard, Pablo, Felipe, Thomas, Benni, Wolfgang and Matze.

German All Stars in Kanchanaburi

The weekend of June 25th to 27th it was time for the annual season end trip of the German All Stars. It was a big family, 43 adults and 17 kids, that went on the bus on early Friday evening at Tesco Lotus on Rama IV. Destination was the River Kwai Village Resort at Kanchanaburi Province. Because of overload and heavy traffic the trip took a bit longer than expected but thanks to a lot of food and healthy German beer by courtesy of the Old German Beer House and Hubert’s Beer Company nobody had to suffer.
