The German All Stars preseason came to its highlight. It was the famous training camp last weekend (September 6-8th).
With a huge squad of several casual and vet players as well as member of the management team we made our way to the Rajpracha Sport Resort in Pak Chong, Khao Yai.
Most members arrived on Friday evening and some prepared themselves with few beers for the upcoming training sessions.
On Saturday morning after breakfast Dominik and Dave have been leading the training at 8:15 am in 2 training groups the German All Stars fine-tuned their game-play and shooting skills combined with healthy amount of fitness activities to prepare for the upcoming league challenges.
After lunch and a quick team meeting the players got ready for the afternoon games. The Vet team, coached by Dave played 2x 30 minutes vs a local selection of Vet players from Pak Chong, winning 2:1.
The
later game of the casuals vs Pak Chong which was much more intense was lost 2:1
in 2x 35 minutes, even though the team performed well considering the tiring
training session before.
Anyway as Dominik said it was not about the result, it was about the
performance and many new players have been integrated very well into the GAS
team. Again, welcome to all new members!
Few beers after the game and a quick shower the pre-season meeting started. This one rather short as all players and members should have understood the messages of the president, management team, coach and the fine collection team. Over the season the team should keep remembering and not let the agreed vaporize.
When the team meeting ended, Ivan was arranging the BBQ. Again, world class quality food , thanks to that. The team enjoyed the food and some more drinks over the night .it was a great team bonding event.
On Sunday morning most players made it to the last training session. Unfortunately some have been injured due of the day before and couldn’t make it.
Anyway it was a good last practice for the weekend for another 90 minutes.
After, the training camp was over , the team checked out and made its way back to Bangkok, well prepared and motivated for the coming weeks.Special thanks at this point of the GAS team members to all our loyal and new sponsors , joining and supporting us for another season .
