30 mins prior to the first game we exactly had 3 players – this looked like a promising Sunday afternoon – but then the rest of the team appreared – our 3 Thai players showed up exactly with the start of the first game – having the usual excuse here in Bangkok “traffic maak maak”. Anyhow we managed to tie the first game (honestly we should have won it) lost the second game and were then under pressure for the upcoming two games. After playing two Japanese team we looked forward to play the infamous Team X – and hard to believe – they recruited for this game only Japanese players. Nevertheless we managed to win this one as well as our last group game (correct – vs. another Japanese Team).
7 points – good play – we just could not make it to the top four as we missed one point and ended therefore in the Plate competition. Semifinal vs. BU Japan (again) and we played very well here again – we won this one 2:1 and made it to the Plate-Final. In the meantime even some supporters showed up (thank you Ilona for cheering for us) and so we were eager to win this final game – what a surprise – the opponents were JFC Bears – the last Japanese Team we did not yet play this afternoon.
A very tough and intense game followed – great fighting spirit and a very strong opponent – thanks to a great goal from Buhary we scored just in the last three minutes of the game and managed to win this final 1:0. Great job Lads !!! Silverware again.
